Very satisfied, but the CBS reset on my car was not completed successfully and I had to return for this to be completed.
I travel over 40 miles each way to use Specialist Cars. The main reason is the friendliness of staff. You are always made to feel welcome and treated as if you are their priority customer, even during busy periods.
see the first answer ,if this had been my first visit ,not sure I would be back , this however is our third car from specialist cars so we know how good it can be ,
The only comment I would have is around the transport offered from the station which is great, however as a lone woman getting into a car or approaching a car with 2 gentlemen sitting in it without any Specialist cars signage (even a board) is quite
I was offered a replacement car for the day when my car was being serviced but not informed about the £10 insurance charge, which I was forced to pay. By the time I was informed, I had no other option but to pay or pay for a taxi.
As for answer 1
Whilst the MOT was okay I still have not received the paperwork which I was promised in the post the next day. I have not had confirmation of when the car will be in for a diagnosed heating problem again told I would be called next day (24.11.17)
Quick and easy to sort out
It would have been 5*, but I needed to come back as some adhesive was not available.
Could have been more if they would have provide actual root cause of why the car is giving only about 2/3rd of the projected mileage.
As usual, 100% satisfied with the service, customer service and the price.I have held a driving licence for over 50 years. I have owned many cars and dealt with many garages. Since I bought my car of Specialist cars six years ago, I always use them

Poor waiting area for customers with no provision at all for those who want to do some work in peace. No quiet area: children of one customer were belting around on toy carts / buses and making a load of noise for an hour. Business needs provision.
Organised minor services on the day. Service area pleasant. Free WiFi a bonus. Free teas, coffees and soft drinks all great!
The week before I had a red light come on so booked the car in , after dropping the car off and on my way to work I was told that when BMW had MOT the mechanic forgot to reset the computer. I had taken time off work to drop and paid for a train .
I thought my car required a service but it turned out that the computer required re-setting. I think some companies may have gone ahead and changed for servicing my vehicle
Everything up to usual high standard
Dropped car off for a quick brake fluid change only to be told it needed an hours worth of work to be done changing filters which was fine then half an hour after being told this My car was still in the car park whilst others were coming in and out
Great team, and always a polite can do attitude from who ever you speak to.
The service and miss diagnosis of the component. And the operator did not return my call or investigate the incident.

Again i was surpised to see a circle of 5 employees all drinking coffee and had to ask three times if the driver of the X5 was a BMW employee, i eventually got an answer after they realised i wanted an answer. Yes it was an employee. contd below

despite a few days delay trying to email the dealership, I ended up ringing up and speaking to someone, from then, nothing was too much trouble, Cathryn emailed and Graham (I think), phoned me once my car was there and being dealt with.
unacceptable waiting time to collect loan car and leave site (around 1.5hrs). poor workman ship carried out during fitting of new parts, and damage caused to my vehicle in the process resulting in the job having to be redone completely

The Technician listened to my concerns and provided a solution.
As above, I have to make a separate trip now as the vehicle check was not noted. The service warning for service was at 1800 miles and the vehicle check now at 900 so should have been picked up.
My car was returned as promised and in great working order
Thought the cost of the brake fluid change was high, would have been 5 stars if cheaper and better value for money
Phoned through to book a service a week before it was due, upon arrival I was told they had no record of my car being in for a service.But credit to the service team they found a space and I was still able to have my car serviced

Did not reset the tyre settings on computer so assumed had a problem with tyre on leaving the services department and also the length of time it took to get the valet team to complete the cleaning from me being told the car had been serviced 2hrs

Potentially dangerous faults and problems with my car were detected at a routine service. The team quickly found me a slot for repairs, thus enabling me to be mobile for an important business week.

Software upgrade wiped out some of the personal settings which needed to be reset.Loan car was unavailable at an earlier appointment.Appointment was the fourth time we'd tried to book it in for the safety recall inspection.
Had a minor problem but the guys could'nt do enough to get me sorted.
Job done ok (as far as I can tell) but really took too long. Booked for a 90min express service, arrived at 8am (booked for 8:30) baut waiting until 11am.

My safety camera was unplugged and not plugged back in at the end of the service. I had an incident the following day and did not have the recording! I complained and was told I would get a call back asap, 6 days later I am still waiting.

I had a smart repair to the front bumper. When I got home I could see slight over spray to the front number plate surround. I removed this rather than take it back which is 10 miles away. I think that more attention to detail is required.

All of the technicians are friendly and professional. A lady from reception even called me 2 days later to make sure everything went well at my appointment. Really going the extra mile to me personally.
No update on progress after two hours
Yet again the interior of my car was damaged, not enough to go back and complain properly about it, but 2 recalls = 2 items not as it was when the car went in to your care. Being BMW i expect perfection & it wasnt. Also, the fridge was broken on site
When i took my car for its first service, it was a big shock to hear from the service team that there was no information on the system that shows my car has a full service package. They even did not know that the vehicle was bought brand new at Steve

Excellent. Previously took my vehicle to Barons Cambridge last year for a recall. Dreadful service where interior trim was damaged to facilitate repair. No apology or follow-up from staff. As a result I chose to take my car to Specialist.

Found a fault that others had missed, gave expert advice and sorted the problem quickly
I'd had an issue where a sun visor had snapped; asked for review against warranty and it was remedied with no fuss. Moved my mood from being disappointed a part of my first ever new BMW had failed to knowing you guys donreally put customers first.
Great service, but very expensive
I had to return to the garage for readjustment of the hand brake. I had asked if it is possible to update the audio software but I'm still waiting for an answer for that. Could not tell me why car goes into 'limp home' mode at times.

Everything went as promised
Having asked prior if my main service had to be done by Bmw and being told no as long as genuine parts were used and because of the price i was quoted by Bmw i had it done where i could afford at present. Computer could not be reset.Disappointed.
Even with a booked appointment it takes over 30 mins to get checked in and the loan car.
Very satisfied, the service was faultless. No complaints at all.
Car in for airbag recall. Job done on time and car returned as I left it no grease or dirty stains or finger marks. Well done makes a change from what normally happens.

I booked for a Saturday so unfortunately they couldn't take me home but they allowed me to pick up the following day from the sales office.
It would have been nice not to lose the car for another day despite letting the service department know exactly what was required... but I was pleased to have everything explained.
Fully updated on what was happening and we had as much time as we wanted to discuss the technology and workings of the car when we picked it up.

The new car was delayed due to storms holding up shipping. The dealer provided us with a loan car while we waited and offered excellent service.
We didn't actually go to buy a new car but everything was made so easy and straightforward and Darrin Taylor was very helpful in answering all our questions and looking after every need that we did walk away with a new car!
from the test drive to collecting the car everthing was so smooth

I would have given 5 stars but delivery delayed because the car delivered was incorrectly specked. Did not mark down more because of the manner in which the mistake was dealt with.
